Deletion receipts
Every job produces a signed, shareable receipt proving what happened, so you're not just telling a client or regulator a file was handled correctly, you're showing them.
View sample receipt ->Deletion receipts, PII preflight, and an exportable audit log you can hand to a client or regulator, so you are never just promising a document was handled correctly. Processing happens entirely in your browser, which is why that proof holds up.
See it in action
A short product overview showing the promise behind Vault PDF: local processing, client-ready proof, and fewer trust gaps around sensitive PDFs.
How it works
A workflow that catches risk before a document goes out the door, and leaves you with proof after.
Add PDFs to the workspace. Client files stay on the device, never uploaded to our servers, so there is nothing to leak while your team works.
Merge, compress, sign, or run PII preflight before a document goes out the door, all on your device with no desktop app or tooling server to maintain.
Download the finished document plus a signed deletion receipt and audit log entry you can hand to a client or regulator.
Built for accountability
The receipts, checks, and logs you can hand to a client or regulator, plus the everyday PDF tools your team already needs.
Every job produces a signed, shareable receipt proving what happened, so you're not just telling a client or regulator a file was handled correctly, you're showing them.
View sample receipt ->Scan for Social Security numbers, account numbers, and other sensitive data before a document leaves your workspace, so you can prove it was checked, not missed.
An exportable, tamper-evident record of who touched which document and when, so you have an answer ready if a client or compliance officer asks.
View sample audit log ->A one-click privacy document you can send to clients explaining exactly how their files were processed and protected.
Here's why the receipts above hold up: core PDF processing runs in your browser, so client files are never sitting on our servers or a third party's to begin with.
Merge, split, compress, sign, and organize, the PDF basics your team already needs, included on every plan.
Who this is for
Same product, three different reasons teams need proof.
If you're a boutique M&A firm
CIMs, diligence packs, and LOIs move through a lot of hands before a deal closes. Every merge, compress, and sign gets a receipt and an audit log entry, so you can show a buyer or seller exactly how a document was handled.
If you're a boutique law firm
Client confidentiality is an obligation, not a pitch. PII preflight and deletion receipts give you something concrete to point to when a client asks how their exhibits or discovery PDFs were processed.
If you handle payroll or HR data for multiple clients
Each client expects proof their employees' PII was handled correctly, not a promise. Sensitive data gets flagged before export, and every payroll packet gets a receipt and audit log entry you can share.
One plan gives your team deletion receipts, PII preflight, certified redaction evidence, compliance documents, and exportable audit logs. See how our trust model works.
Built for teams that need proof for client PDF handling, not just a converter subscription.

Answers about receipts, audit logs, pricing, and the browser-local architecture behind them.
After you finish a job, Vault PDF generates a signed receipt proving the PDF was processed in your browser and not retained on our servers. Share the link with a client or regulator as evidence of how the file was handled.
Most free converters upload your file to their servers, process it there, then delete it after a short window (often 1–24 hours). During that window your confidential PDF exists on third-party infrastructure. Vault PDF core tools never receive your PDF bytes, processing happens in your browser, and you get a signed deletion receipt per job as proof.
PDF processing runs entirely in your browser using permissive open-source libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, qpdf). We do not use AGPL-licensed processing modules. Your files are never uploaded to our servers for core PDF tools.
Owners and admins can download a PDF explaining your team's PDF workflow, including sub-processors and browser-only processing, from Settings → Compliance. Send it to a client as proof of how their documents are handled.
Vault PDF has one public paid plan: Compliance. It includes up to 10 users, browser-local PDF tools, deletion receipts, client-facing proof, PII preflight, and audit exports.
Invite teammates from the Team page on the Compliance plan. Owners and admins manage roles; members can access the workspace tools and activity.
No. Vault PDF runs in the browser, so teams can use everyday PDF tools and generate compliance evidence without downloading a heavy desktop application or standing up a server.
